Co-operative marketing
A relationship between a supplier and its channel partners (resellers, distributor, VARs) where the cost of advertising and marketing are shared between the parties. Most co-op marketing programs allocate 2-3% of a reseller's past purchases to a fund in which a reseller may draw upon to pay for the costs of conducting a supplier-approved marketing campaign.
